 They conduct a Pooja before the wedding where the couple be dressed in dhoti and Saree. This is performed to propitiate the 9 astral planets that rule human destiny.

The marriage ceremony starts with Vratsa perform separately by the bride and groom. For Bride it means tying a holy thread on her wrist that is meant to keep away all evils. From there the groom prepares himself as householder. Hyms will be performed and the bride and groom will be carried by their respective uncle. and they exchange the flower garlands.Exchange of garlands resembles union. Then the Bride is made to sit on her father’s lap and is given as a gift to the bridegroom. On the the girls head a ring made with Kusa is placed and placed in Mangal Sutra opening of yoke and water is poured through the aperture. The bride is then given an auspicious washing than draped into another sari which is done by her own sisters.

The wedding hall was decorated with full flowers and the background was so pretty with a wide range of lily flowers. The wedding happen in the morning as rituals been said and the music hit louder. A virtual part of wedding is AGNI, the fire god. Agni is deemed as witness to marriage. The bridegroom ties the knot. First knot by himself then other two knots by his sister to make the bride part of the boy’s family. The groom holds her hand and walks seven steps with her. The bridegroom helps her thread on grindstone kept on right side of fire holding brides left foot toe where the elders are invited to shower Akshadai  as a approval of sending the bride to the groom house.
