White is symbolic of purity, innocence, light and goodness. Pure white is not often associated with weddings in Indian culture, although brides in Kerala and some parts of Karnataka and Andhra wear white/off-white on their wedding day.
The bride, Swathi, wore a beautiful silvery white silk saree with a golden green border. She paired this with an embroidered red blouse and a red ghoonghat. Swathi’s jewellery was a stunning mix of antique gold and kundan with jade beads and emerald stones.
Swathi posed beautifully against the vintage backdrop of the closed mandapam doors with her gorgeous bridesmaids dressed in colourful sarees in contrast to the bride. Here are the pictures shot by Wedding Stori.
