Wedding planning- it’s different today
Planning a wedding is an arduous task. Until few years ago, it was your uncle, aunt, cousins, nephew who would be in-charge of various activities involved in your wedding, right from managing guests to coordinating with wedding service providors.
But today, all these activities are being done by professionals, by a section of people called – wedding planners, who of course charge a premium for the services rendered.
Wedding planners have taken Indian weddings to a whole new level. The only requirement for a wedding is a Bride and a Groom and they manage rest.
Wedding planners today classify wedding in three broad categories
- Traditional wedding
- Themed wedding
- Destination wedding
- Traditional Wedding: Here they will planning the wedding in a traditional manner like arranging Wedding Halls, Photographers, Make-up, Catering, Hotel & Entrainment, Wedding gift bags, Honeymoon package and the list goes on. They will give suggestions if required even when shopping for dresses and other stuffs for marriage.
Decoration always depends upon the wedding venue. If it is wedding hall, flowers & lighting is enough. If it is a beach or open garden there is a complete artificial stage set & guest chairs required to decorate the place.
- Themed wedding:
At present, Couples have more ideas than wedding planners themselves. They are interested in some theme, on which the whole wedding should be based. Their intention is to make their marriage a spectacular event to cherish for rest of their life.
Want to conduct a wedding like a celebrity? Go for a themed wedding.
This is the latest trend in wedding planning. The complete marriage will focus on a particular theme (Lotus,Palace, Peacock and much more). The whole marriage will revolve around the particular theme (chosen by the couples) from bridal dress to decoration of wedding venue.
It completely focuses on the couple’s desire about the location of wedding.
Kerala, Goa, Udaipur, Oman, South of France, Dubai are the most desired wedding destination by Indians.
Couples with deep pockets will look for foreign destinations. But most couples prefer locations with beach for destination wedding.
