Shettihalli Church in Karnataka was built in the 19th century by French missionaries, and was abandoned in the 1960s after the construction of a dam nearby. It’s a magnificent structure of Gothic architecture. Every year as the monsoons fill up the reservoir, the church retires to the submerged world and as the water level recedes it emerges in all its glory. It’s a pristine offbeat location for a pre-wedding photoshoot.
