We’ve always talked about the ‘click’ factor when it comes to love. The magic of instant connection isn’t just common to almost everyone, it’s entirely explicable. Here’s the wedding story of Vamsi and Apoorva:
“Vamsi is a postgraduate from IISER, who loves teaching, and I am a doctor by profession. We were introduced by my sister and we instantly hit it off. After being in a long distance relationship for few years, we decided to tie the knot!
The very moment we fixed the wedding date, the quest for décor and dress began. For the décor, we chose a modern Mughal theme. There were huge elephants, grand florals and colourful drapes marking the entry to the mandap with beautiful Urli’s.
For the mandap, we opted for a bright yellow and golden theme, with antique doors as our backdrop. We had two special spaces created on either sides for our family members to be seated on the stage. The food counters were all LED based and we ensured coverage from north to south in variety for breakfast and lunch.
It was a South meets West wedding, hence we incorporated rituals from the Telugu and Marathi culture. I was carried in a Palki from the entrance of the venue through the hall way to the mandap with the Dhol beats in the background. My family swayed and danced in the Bride Baraat as they reached the mandap. It was a blast!
Coming to the attire, I opted for a fusion look with a vivid red kanjeevaram and adorned myself with diamond jewellery. The jewellery included a kamar dhani, choker, a long necklace, bangles, nose ring, payal and jhumkas. I designed a red blouse to match the dupatta, customized the sequins, border lace and contrasted it with violet. For my hair I chose a neat updo with soft twists and decorated it with Dutch roses. I kept the make up light to only match my tone and accentuate my features.
